Ian Smith

Ian Smith has been published with Row-Loff Productions since the Spring of 2008. His pieces include novelty, marching, and concert music. He received his Bachelors of Music degree from LSU, where he was the drumline captain and staff arranger for the famed “Golden Band from Tigerland”. After graduation, he began teaching in Texas and has instructed at both the middle school and high school level. He is currently an assistant band director/percussion instructor in Belton ISD, where he teaches both middle and high school students. For the past 20 years he has been a clinician for N8 Rhythm/ Percussion One, which is an educational and performance vehicle that operates in the Houston area, as well as teaching for the Yamaha Sounds of Summer series. Along with Texas, has written music for and instructed groups all over the southeastern United States, including schools in Louisiana and Florida, and the Louisiana All-Star Band.
